David Howard Matthews

David H. Matthews, age 67, of Carlisle, passed on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Manor Care, Carlisle with his loving son and daughter-in-law by his side.
He was born in Carlisle on October 20, 1948 to the late Harold Lincoln and Leah Marie Shank Matthews.
David retired as an electrician at the Carlisle Tire and Wheel after over 25 years and had worked at the former Kinney Shoe Co. in Carlisle. He was an avid Indian lore and Indian art collector. David enjoyed woodworking and scroll working, but especially loved riding his Harley.
He is survived by two sons, Brian M. (and wife Michele) Matthews of Carlisle and Larry A. Matthews of Carlisle; two sisters, Sally K. Sites and Marsha E. (and husband Dale) Coller, all of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his special friend, his dog "Zip".
According to David's wishes, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
