David F. Gunther

David F. Gunther, age 71, of Carlisle and formerly of Connecticut, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Norwalk, CT on March 1, 1945 to the late William M. and Ethel Joslin Gunther.
David honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Fairfield County Sprinkler Co. after 25 years of employment as a pipe fitter. He was a member of the NRA and NSRA. David enjoyed local racing, car shows and working on his own vehicles.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dolores Diaz de Villegas Gunther of Carlisle; two sons, David S. Gunther and Gary M. Gunther, both of Carlisle; a daughter, Lee Ann Gunther of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Alicea and David; two nieces, Debbie Christman of CT and Samantha (and husband Scott) Armstrong of MI; and a sister-in-law, Rem Gunther of FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Gunther.
In keeping with David's wishes, there will not be a viewing or service.
