David E. Shakespeare, age 73, passed away at his home in Boiling Springs, PA surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. David was born March 23, 1949 to the late Harold and Betty (Cless) Shakespeare.
David graduated from C.D. East High School in Harrisburg, PA and enlisted in the US Air Force for 4 years following graduation. He served during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Sgt at the Air Force Base in Osan, South Korea. When David returned home, he earned his BA at Mansfield University followed by his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Franklin Pierce Law School. He worked as the Senior Vice President and General Council for the PA Credit Union League and went on to finish his career at PSECU.
David was an avid reader and loved to help others by volunteering his time at The Bookery inside of The Bosler Library. He was also an active member of the Boiling Springs Civic Association for over 32 years.
David will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, brother and Pop who loved spending time with his family, friends, dog Bell and his books.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa (Stare) Shakespeare; his daughter Ashley Shakespeare Frey, her husband Ryan Frey, and their children Benson and Mayson Frey; his son Corbin Shakespeare, and his children Cailyn and Kinsley Shakespeare.
In addition, he is survived by his twin brother Donald Shakespeare, his brother Terry Shakespeare and sister-in-law Linda Shakespeare.
He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Shakespeare.
A Celebration of Life of David’s Life will be held on May 20th 2023 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the South Middleton Township Park Pavilion One 534 Park Drive Boiling Springs, PA. 17007
