Darrell L. Jones

Darrell L. Jones, 25, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born October 7, 1997, in Baltimore, MD to Benzone Smart and Martinique Flowers.

Darrell was a graduate of Carlisle High School with the class of 2015. He earned a scholarship and was studying to be a paramedic. Darrell was currently employed by Auto Zone where he worked as a manager. He loved the outdoors, traveling, playing video games, and going to parties with his friends. Darrell was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his siblings, his mother, his aunts and uncles, and his cousins. He also spent many hours volunteering at Hope Station after school.

Darrell is survived by his mother, Martinique Flowers (husband Austin Rittes) of Carlisle; three sisters, Armani Flowers, Aquilla Dates, and Melanie Flowers all of Carlisle; two brothers, George Wells of Carlisle and Freddie Jones of Lebanon; his good friends, Dawnyae Hilliard and Daybreon Renae both of Carlisle; and a host of relatives and friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend a candlelight vigil at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Darrell’s home, 440 Factory Street Carlisle, PA 17013. A balloon release will be held in memory of Darrell at a later date in Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
