Darline M. Mountz

Darline M. (Walker) Mountz, 83, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at UPMC Carlisle.
She was born November 8, 1938, in Shenandoah, VA to the late Luther and Essie (Combs) Walker.
Darline enjoyed shopping at yard sales with her daughters. She collected many nick nacks including, angels, cardinals, and bunny rabbits. Darline was especially fond of holidays and enjoyed hosting her family. She was a great cook, and no one ever left hungry. Darline spent many weekends traveling with her husband, usually to visit her sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Levi E. Mountz of Carlisle; four children, Ruth Wentz of Hanover, Ruby Garland of Carlisle, Bobby (wife Dory) Garland of Perry County, and Rita Garland of Carlisle; eight grandchildren, Mandy Garland of Shermans Dale, Tiffany (husband Josh) Lambert of Texas, Lacy Garland of Carlisle, Lonnie (wife Amanda) Garland Jr. of Shermans Dale, Star Shopp of Newville, Michael Garland of Carlisle, Garth Garland of York, Chip Garland of York, and Debra Mountz of Dillsburg; three sisters, Tootsie, Esdelle, and Ardelle; and nineteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Darline was preceded in death by two children, Ralph and Lonnie Garland Sr. and two siblings, Arlene and Arnold.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will follow at North Middleton Church of God Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
