Daree Sue Kepner

Daree Sue Kepner, age 64, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born September 2, 1952 in Carlisle to the late Charles L. and Ann Elizabeth (Byers) Kepner.
Daree loved to visit nursing homes to cheer up the patients. She loved singing the old hymns like “How Great Thou Art”. Daree was forever grateful for her relationship with Kelly, who opened up her world. They were able to lean on each other and do so many things together that were not possible alone. She loved her and Kelly’s family and especially loved the Brashear’s family get-togethers.
She is survived by her life companion of 30 years, Kelly Brashear; her sister, Evonne (husband William) Wert; a nephew, Kyle (wife Aimee) Wert; a niece, Hayley Wert and boyfriend Jason; and five great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
