Daniel Cornelius Mahoney

Daniel Cornelius Mahoney, 64, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at home.
He was born July 21, 1952 in Lykens, PA to Rosemary (Yentsch) and Cornelius Mahoney.
Dan was a 1970 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, served in the Air National Guard and for over the last 30 years was a sanitation engineer at Land-O-Lakes in Mt Holly. He was a football fan that passionately rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers and his beloved Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Dan also enjoyed reading the newspaper, traveling, and enjoyed spending his weekends at the West Shore Farmer's Market and scoping out yard sales with his wife of 33 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife, Kim Mahoney, two sons, Jason (wife Jennifer) Mahoney of Mifflintown and Kyle Mahoney of Williamstown; a daughter, Meghann (husband Justin) Roper of Magnolia, Delaware; four sisters, Dolores (husband Keith) Laudenslager of Elizabethville, Mary Mahoney of New Cumberland, Janet (husband Greg) Foster of Lancaster, and Maureen (husband Chuck) Laudenslager of Lykens; his first wife LeMarie Mahoney of Harrisburg; nine wonderful grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
An additional service of the Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 703 East Main St. Lykens, Pa. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.
