Dale F. Darr

Dale F. Darr, age 69, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born May 1, 1948 in Carlisle to the late William and Irene (Baker) Darr.
Dale retired from the Naval Supply Depot as a Logistics Supervisor after 35 years of service. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Dale was passionate about going to auctions, collecting antique tractors and he loved gardening. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mechanicsburg.
He is survived by: his significant other of 23 years, Thora Ann Willie of Shippensburg; a daughter, Lynn (husband Andrew) Mahoney of Bloserville; two sons, Eric (girlfriend Marie Kowalski) Darr of Hubbard, OH and Marcus (wife Tasha) Darr of New Kensington; six brothers; three sisters; 20 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hoffman Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses.
