Cynthia L. Porter

Cynthia L. Porter, 79 of Carlisle, PA passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born September 21, 1939, the daughter of the late Rev. Harry L. Lindsay Jr. and Catharine Lindsay.
Cynthia graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Shippensburg State College. She taught at Crestview Elementary School for many years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Carlisle. She loved her family, friends and pets and making the holidays special with her 12 varieties of cookies.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter: Marjorie E. Porter-Ettlinger of Avalon, NJ, her son: Douglas L. Porter of Carlisle, two granddaughters: Allison Elizabeth Porter of Harrisburg, and Lindsay Ann Ettlinger of Avalon, NJ
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Harry L. Lindsay Jr. and Catharine Lindsay.
There will be no services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
