Cynthia J. Bowermaster

August 17, 1955 — April 26, 2022

Cynthia Jane “Cindy” (Eppley) Bowermaster, peacefully departed this life at her home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Born August 17, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Eppley, Sr. and Catherine Mary McConnell Eppley.
Cindy grew up on her family’s farm in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where she eventually made a new home with her beloved husband of 35 years, Richard L. Bowermaster.
A 1973 Cumberland Valley High School graduate, Cindy was employed by Kinney Shoe Corporation for many years and later in life, she enjoyed working as a caregiver.

Cindy’s greatest passion in life, however, was being a homemaker. She was proud of her home, the beautiful flowers and plants that created a safe haven for birds, bunnies and other creatures, all treasured with her husband. Her love of the land and her family’s heritage was shared with everyone and Cindy was honored to say, “I’m a farmer’s daughter”.

“Cindy Jane,” as she was affectionately called by her husband, loved camping. Spending that time with him was very special to her. Cindy was sentimental and loved with all her heart, her laugh was jolly and she was an inspiration to those who knew her.

She will be forever missed by her family, her feline children, Budster and Moses, and her unconditional, Forever Best Friend, Nonie Righi, with whom she shared her love of sight-seeing, travel and all life’s experiences.

Her life will be forever cherished by her husband and her siblings, Robert M. Eppley, Jr. and wife Robynn, of Carlisle and Brenda C. Eppley, of York. She also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her dearly loved niece, Meghan B. Freas.
Respectful of Cindy’s wishes, a memorial service will not be held. Internment at Westminister Cemetery in Carlisle will be at the family’s discretion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Cindy’s name to Spiritrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice – Cumberland Home Health, 1920 Good Hope Road, Enola, PA 17026-1235, or Speranza Animal Rescue – www.speranzarescue .
