Cynthia Catalano

Cynthia Catalano, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
She was born May 13, 1933 in Harrisburg to the late John Stout and Armethia Mae (Simpson) Lingle and was the widow of Joseph F. Catalano.
Cynthia was retired from the state. She loved to read, crochet, and spend time with her grandchildren. Cynthia was an avid Notre Dame and Washington Redskins fan. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, the Red Hat Society, and the West Shore Players. Cynthia was a longtime volunteer at the Harrisburg Hospital where she was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
Cynthia is survived by three children, Linda (husband Doug) White of North Richland Hills, TX, Michael (wife Sandy) Catalano of Mechanicsburg, and Scott (wife Dawn) Catalano of Dillsburg; one sister, Kathryn Walt of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Ashlee (husband Hunter) Jacobs, Lindsay (husband Adam) Richard, Nicholas Catalano, Erin (husband Eric) Napp, Lindsey Miller, and Christopher (wife Kortni) Long; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Cynthia was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara M. Lackey; one grandson, Jason White; and one great-grandson, Cameron White.
A private memorial mass will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 East Simpson Street Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Burial will be held at a later date in Rolling Green Cemetery.
