Creedon W. Shatto, 80, of Carlisle died Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born January 19, 1931 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Herman and Mary Ocker Shatto.
He retired after 30 plus years as a dispatcher for Cumberland County. Creedon was a member of AARP, a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge #260 F & AM, Carlisle and the Old Bellaire Chapter Order of Eastern Star #375, and a longtime member of the Carlisle First Church of God. In his free time Creedon enjoyed reading and traveling. He proudly served his country for four years while in the US Navy.
Surviving are two sons, Bryan Shatto (and wife, Heidi) of Carlisle and Kevin Shatto (and wife, Suzanne) of Lancaster; one daughter, Leslie Shatto of Carlisle; two sisters, Vesta Stoner of Carlisle and Phyllis Kuligowski of Erie; five grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Morrison and one brother, Denton Shatto.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. D. Alan Mathna officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
