Conard B. Carnell

Conard B Carnell, beloved husband, father, and PapPap, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born October 17, 1951, in Chambersburg to the late Bryce M. and Mary (Richards) Carnell. He was raised in St. Thomas and took pride in the fact that he lived three houses down from Chicago White Sox great, Nellie Fox.

He was an avid hunter and nature lover. He loved to spend time at his cabin with his family and hunting with his son-in-law and grandchildren. He was able to take the trip of a lifetime to Africa on a hunting safari with Mike in 2015, where so many great memories were made. He loved his family with his whole heart and loved to cheer loud for his grandchildren in all their sporting events. Sometimes to their embarrassment but they grew to love the fact that he was always there for them.

When he met his wife, Claire, she still remembers his beautiful blue eyes and sun kissed long hair. It was love at first sight. There were bumps in the road, but they always maintained a strong bond that held until the very end.

Conard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Claire Beadon Carnell of Carlisle; one daughter, Amanda (husband Michael) Kistler of Carlisle; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Madeline, and Stevie Kistler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.
