Clark Franklin Neal, 76, of Carlisle, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Shermans Dale surrounded by his family.
Born February 23, 1936 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Mary L. Windomaker Neal.
He worked for Valk Manufacturing, New Kingston for 51 years. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. Clark was a member of the Great Hope Baptist Church, Carlisle. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, NASCAR, digging for fishing worms and especially gardening in his garden. He loved to play the lottery and country music.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Barb Neal of Carlisle; four children, Tammy Sue Failor (and husband, Gerald) of Shermans Dale, Clark Eugene Neal (and companion, Theresa) of Shermans Dale, Timothy Lee Eckenrode (and companion, Linda) of Carlisle, and Kenneth Lee Eckenrode (and companion, Kelly) of Camp Hill; three sisters, Virginia Coover of Gardners, Joan Gruver of Carlisle and Helen Gibble of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John Neal and two sisters, Ruth and Pauline Neal and great-grandson, Orlando Sepuveda.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Dale E. Barrick officiating. Burial will be held at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
