Clarence R. "Bob" Leiby

Clarence R. "Bob" Leiby, age 74, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Church of God Home, Carlisle.
He was born November 16, 1941 in Spring Township, Perry County to the late Robert and Florence (Hoffman) Leiby.
Bob was a lifetime member of the York County Racing Club where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was voted one of the Northeastern Regional Auto Racing Promoters of the Year. He was a former co-owner of Leiby's Parkway and Mobile Home Sales, former co-promoter of Williams Grove Speedway and a current co-owner of Lincoln Speedway. He was the owner of the #119 358 Sprint Car driven by his grandson, Chandler.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis "Dianne" Leiby of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Robert C. (and wife Lisa J.) Leiby of Mechanicsburg and Gregory A. (and wife Dawn) Leiby of Carlisle; a brother, Donald A. (and wife Wanda) Leiby of Enola; a sister, JoAnn (and husband George) Wolf of Mechanicsburg; and grandchildren, Renee E., Megan N., and Chandler S. Leiby. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Connie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Reverend Harold Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at Letort Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home.
