Clarence "Jack" M. Lenker

Clarence "Jack" M. Lenker III, 58, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home.

Born Aug. 6, 1953, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Clarence M. Jr. and Geraldine Weaver Lenker.

Jack was employed as a trade show coordinator for 25 years for the former AMP Inc. He was a master carpenter and built custom homes for approximately eight years. Most recently Jack got his dream job, interacting with children, as a driver of the mobile lab for the Commonwealth Connections Academy which he drove all across Pennsylvania. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Jack enjoyed spending time with his wife and traveling with her.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Kandi Lenker of Carlisle; a son, Jeff Lenker (and wife, Heather) of Carlisle; a daughter, Stacie Bond (and husband, Matthew) of Bloomsburg; niece, Tifany Banks (and husband Paul) of Mt. Holly Springs; a brother, Terry Lenker (and wife, Joan) of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Sue Young (and husband, Jim) of Texas; eight grandchildren, Elaine, Tyler, Alyssa, Tommy, Rylee, Haley, Evan and Marissa; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 22, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., with the Rev. Jeanette Mater officiating. A viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
