Clara L. Lebo

Clara L. Lebo, 79, of Carlisle passed away peacefully at home Saturday, October 21, 2023, with her loving daughters Connie and Pam and her grandson Ryan by her side. Clara fought a courageous battle with an aggressive brain cancer since late July during which time she never stopped being the loving caring mother, gram and friend.

Clara was born in Carlisle to the late Russell Sr. and Anna (Miller) Baer. She attended Carlisle High School and was a long-time member of Middlesex United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Clara was a loving childcare provider for years. She then worked at Bedford Shoe, GS Electric, Nell’s, and was an assistant manager at UniMart, each formerly in Carlisle. Her love of flowers can be seen all through and around her home.

Clara is survived by Connie Lebo, and Pam Lebo, both of Carlisle; a grandson Ryan Garner, of Carlisle; a brother Raymond Baer (wife Alice) of Gardners; and several step-nieces and step-nephews.

A grandson, Erik Russell Leonhard (Connie’s son); sister Esther Baer; and stepbrother Russell Baer, Jr. (and wife Ethel) predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 26 at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA with the Rev. Deb Dailey officiating. Friends may call beginning 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
