Clair S. (Sonny) Stum

Clair S. Stum, 76, of Carlisle, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Harrisburg Hospital due to complications from surgery. His family was at his side.
Born February 12, 1937 in Lower Mifflin Township, he was the son of the late Russell and Margaret (Bloser) Stum.
He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corp and then worked as a part-time auto parts deliverer for Big A Auto Parts and NAPA. He was a member of Eagles #1299, White Circle Club, NRA, and AMVETS. He was a US Army veteran, C Company, 809th Engr. Bn.
In his healthy years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golf. In later years he developed a new interest - Hollywood Casino will miss you, Clair. He lived his life exactly as he wanted to, which is the best we can say of anyone.
He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy (Tim) Stum; one sister, Mary Clouse and three brothers, Paul, Walter (Skip), and Henry Stum. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Shirley (Stine) Stum; one daughter, Shari Homan; granddaughter, Christyanna Homan; two grandsons Aaron and Joshua Homan; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy Stine and Bill Farner and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Dennis L. Killinger officiating. Burial will be held privately in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
