Chris Edward Warner, 58, of Halifax, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born January 26, 1961 in Lewistown to Shirley (Kauffman) Warner of Dillsburg and the late Gordon Warner.
Chris was employed by Yard Truck Specialists as a mobile diesel mechanic for the last ten years. Chris was a member of VFW Post 5750, American Legion Post 340, ABATE of Pennsylvania and was an advocate of fighting for bikers’ rights. He was a free spirit who enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, riding motorcycles and attending concerts. Chris was a very generous man who would always help others with anything they needed. He loved his garden, his dogs and especially his family.
In addition to his mother, Chris is survived by two daughters, Stacey Boore of York and Jessica Grace Dye of Carlisle; three siblings, Scott (wife Toni) Warner of Straussburg, Susan (husband Ben) Blackcloud of Dillsburg and Craig Warner of Texas; and three grandchildren, Lilliana Koicuba, Kylynn Dye and Brantlee Dye.
A memorial service celebrating Chris’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Dick Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
The family requests casual attire be worn to the visitation and the service.
