Charlotte Ames Sheehan

Charlotte Ames Sheehan, 94 a resident of Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA and formerly of Baltimore, MD, died Saturday November 27, 2010 in the Center.
Born August 1, 1916 in Painter, VA, a daughter of the late Harry Lee and Catherine Waddill Betty Ames and the widow of Thomas Anthony Sheehan.
Charlotte was a 1938 graduate of Randolph Maccon Women’s College. After her retirement as a teacher, Mrs. Sheehan devoted her life to volunteering.
She is survived by a daughter, C. Ann Sheehan, Carlisle, a son, Thomas Ames Sheehan, Baltimore and a grandson, Jonathan Sheehan Drake, Alexandria, VA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Irby Ames and a brother J. Lewis Ames.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday December 4, 2010 in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.
