Charles R. “Rockoâ€Â Rockey, 77, of Winter Park, Florida, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at his home.
Born December 8, 1935 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Violet Stover Rockey and widower of Audrey Colvin Rockey.
He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1955. He retired as Dispatcher for Cumberland County Communications after 32 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the St. Johns Lodge #260 F&AM; a life member of the Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg, a member of the Clown Unit of the Zembo Shrine; member of the Vahia Shrine of Orlando, FL; he was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are his sister, Vivian Rockey of Carlisle; his aunt, Helen Stover of Carlisle; three step-sons, Sean Colvin of Carlisle and two sons, George Colvin (and wife, Donna) and three children of Connecticut; Shane Colvin (and wife, Lauren) of Enola; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
