Charles R. Nebel, 91, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on May 18, 2020.
Charlie was born to the late Karl and Senda (Schubert) Nebel, on October 26, 1928 in Philadlephia, PA.
He graduated from Fankford High School and received a degree in Accounting from Temple University. He retired from his position as Controller at Autotote Systems, Newark DE in 1992. During retirement, Charlie loved fishing off his boat in Cape May, NJ and smoking his pipe.
He was a 33 Degree Mason. Charlie was Past Master of Herman-Humboldt Lodge 125 (the oldest German Speaking Lodge in PA). He was the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of PA and a member of the Kensington-Kadosh Commandery No. 54.
Charles is survived by his wife Elizabeth Morris, who he married in 1950; one daughter, Margaret (husband John) Dunn of New Tripoli, PA; one son, Charles (wife Annette) Nebel Jr. of Camp Hill, PA; two grandchildren, Heather and Adam Dunn; and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Shaylee Dunn. In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by two brothers, Walter, and Hans.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
