Charles Poleto

Charles J. Poleto, 75, of Carlisle, died Thursday, July 4, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Renovo, he was the son of the late Angelo and Grace (Emerick) Poleto and the husband of 26 years to Nancy (Wickard) Poleto.

Charles worked for 53 years as an accountant before retiring. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker.

He had a wonderful sense of humor which, as the family said, was as dry as a piece of toast!

Charles loved spending time with his family, especially going to his grandsons’ sporting events.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Heather King, her husband, Corey, of York and April Marston, of New Cumberland; his step-children: Teresa Greco, Judi Kahler and Regina Jones; his three grandsons: Carson, Samuel and Connor; his brother: Tom Poleto, his wife, Portia, of Renovo as well as his sister-in-law: Ruth Poleto, of South Carolina.

Charles was preceded in death by his siblings: John, Michael and Ricky.

Relatives and friends are invited to his celebration of life at 11 am Friday, July 12, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 10 am, prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
