Charles M. Barnett Jr.

Charles M. Barnett Jr., 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at UPMC Osteopathic Harrisburg.
He was born February 27, 1937 in Carlisle to the late Charles M. Sr. and Genevieve (Batz) Barnett.
Charlie was a very active member of both the Northside Baptist Church and the Carlisle Fish and Game Club. He graduated from Carlisle High School in the class of 1956.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Ethel M. Barnett of Carlisle; two children, Charles M. (wife Elaine) Barnett III of Carlisle and Marie E. (husband Scott) Bergey of Sellersville; one sister, Lourene Fahnestock of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Alberta Bretz and one brother, Joseph Barnett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastors Douglas B. Farrow and Dale E. Barrick co-officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Churchtown. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday both at the funeral home.
