Charles Lee Howe

Charles Lee Howe, age 77 of Carlisle, passed away December 8, 2020 at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community. Born March 5, 1943 in Carlisle, son of the late Norman and Verna (Scheffer) Howe.
Charles retired from the Harrisburg Airport after 27 years of service as an accountant. He was a US Army Veteran who liked baseball, football, bowling, golf and anything sports related and had a passion for sprint car racing. He enjoyed yardwork and gardening, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his kids and family.
Charles is survived by his children, Deiter Howe, Barbara Carver, Thomas Howe and David Howe all of Carlisle, Jessica Howe, Newville and Andrew Howe, Marie Howe and Shawn Howe, all of Harrisburg, grandchildren Jeremiah, Ethan, Heaven, Brooke and Charlotte and brother, Donald (Lillian) Howe and sister, Barbara Howe.
Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Lois Shafer.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 W. Trindle Road Carlisle.
