Charles L. "Butch" Lebo, Jr., age 82, of Carlisle, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home.
He was born January 14, 1934 in Carlisle to the late Charles and Mabel (Wickard) Lebo, Sr.
Charles graduated from Carlisle High School, Class of 1951 and then served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. For 33 years, he worked for the post office as a letter carrier where he greeted everyone with a friendly face. It always amazed his son, Michael, that his dad seemed to know everyone in town and people always seemed genuinely happy to see him. He was a generous man, always giving what he had to others, and by volunteering his time to coach the Carlisle American Little League for more than 20 years. He loved driving the various athletic teams and band buses to Carlisle High School away games. He served as head usher and Treasurer for the former First United Methodist Church. Charles was an avid golfer and bowler and spent many wonderful hours with his family and friends enjoying their company. He will truly be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Lebo of Carlisle; two sons, Michael W. (and wife Ellen) Lebo of North Carolina and Tony Lebo of Carlisle; a brother, Dennis (and wife Joy) Lebo of Carlisle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
