Charles Jerry Eledge

Loved father, son, brother and true friend to those in need. Born November 2, 1952 to Marvin and Jessie Eledge, Chuck passed peacefully on January 26, 2013 surrounded by loved ones in spirit and in hand. He was 60 years young.
He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1973-1979. He was awarded numerous commendations in the duration of his service including several for Non-Commissioned Officer of the month and Outstanding Security Policeman of the Year. He successfully acquired several degrees in his passion for learning including Automotive and Electrical Engineering, Criminal Psychology and Law Enforcement. He went on to work for the Capital Police for the remainder of his career where he retired from a lifetime of helping others and received a commendation from former Mayor Stephen Reed. He donated regularly to over 20 charities and saw the world in a rare light.
Missing him always will be his sister, Mary Lou Garcia, brother Robert, niece Casey, nephew Ray and perhaps his greatest accomplishment his children Rebecca, Amanda, Janet and Jesse along with his grandchildren Jocelyn, Evan, Melissa, Dakota, Raven, Ethan, Keara, Christian, Elaina and Jude. Dad, we miss you and love you and know you will always be there for us. You make it an honor to be known as an Eledge.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with full military honors.
