Charles D. Mcclintock

August 18, 1920 — January 29, 2014

Charles D. McClintock, 93 of Carlisle passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born August 18, 1920 he was the son of the late Roy E. and Betsy M. Fuller McClintock.
Charles retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad after thirty-three years of dedicated service. After retiring he helped with the lawn service and driving bus for the Bethel Assembly of God in Carlisle, for several years.
Charles was a member of The Midway Pentecostal Church in Carlisle and a resident of The Church of God Home in Carlisle.
At ninety-three years of age he had a long and joyful life. Whether you called him "Charlie" or "Chub", you knew him as a friend. He didn't mind being right and telling you so. In his last years he enjoyed traveling to the homes of his friends and sharing their company. He had fun riding around at his daughter and son-in-law's home on their golf cart. Charlie loved God. He fellowshipped with Him early in the morning. His church and church family were very important to him. He loved many and many loved him back.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine (McCoy) McClintock, his two sons, David R. and Paul S. McClintock, his sister and nine brothers. Surviving are his daughter Carol J. (McClintock) Hasco (and husband, Andrew) as well as three siblings Melvin, Clyde and Jean.
