Charles Brown, 88, of Carlisle, PA died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle Hospital.
He was born in Carlisle, PA on July 7, 1930 to the late Robert F. and Mae (McMichael) Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Renelle L. (McBride) Brown; his brother Robert and his twin Donald.
Charlie retired from the Carnation Corporation in Mechanicsburg and was the former owner of the Brown Auto Sales in Carlisle. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy after serving during the Korean Conflict.
Charlie is survived by a son, Charles W. (wife Janine) Brown of Fort Wayne, IN; four daughters, Katherine A. (husband Keith) Lupfer of Carlisle, Elizabeth H. (husband Timothy) Richwine of Carlisle, Jennifer M. (husband Joseph) Spangler of Boiling Springs, and Susan M. (husband Keith) Leitzel of Carlisle; one step-son, Steven (wife Debbie) Cordle of Carlisle; one step-daughter, Stephanie (husband Tony) Kauffman of Carlisle; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
