Catherine "Kay" D'Happart

Catherine “Kay” d’Happart, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home with her family at her side.
She was born July 17, 1939 in Pittsburgh to the late Carmen and Gail (Havranek) Giordano.
Kay loved playing BINGO, baking and decorating cakes, and traveling the country with her husband on their motorcycle and sidecar. She was a longtime active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Kay retired from the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg after 25 years of employment.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William F. d’Happart of Carlisle; two sons, William Douglas (wife Brenda) d’Happart of Concord, NC and Ozzie F. (wife Lyndsey) d’Happart of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Christine M. Barnes of Campbelltown and Susan (husband Ed) Cusack of Mantua, OH; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Carmen Giordano and one son-in-law, Denny Barnes.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Rev. Tiburtius A. Raja as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
