Carrie R. "Deitch" Minich

Carrie R. "Deitch" Minich, 93 of Carlisle, died Sunday June 3, 2012 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born June 11, 1918 in Cumberland County, the daughter of the late John C. and Daisy E. Shughart Thomas.
Mrs. Minich attended the Carlisle Market for 35 years as a vendor. She was a member of the Waggoners United Methodist Church and North Middleton Senior Citizens. Carrie loved to play cards and enjoyed making food for people. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker and a talented artist, musician, baker and gardener.
Surviving are two daughters, Freda M. Bobb and her husband Terry, Arlene Righter and her husband James; two sons, Ralph Deitch and his wife Linda, Ronald Deitch and his wife BJ, all of Carlisle, eight grandchildren; Donald Kennedy and wife Joyce, of Dillsburg, Leah Shiley and husband Paul, of Mechanicsburg, Christine St. Cyr and her husband Scott, Carlisle, Randy Deitch, of Carlisle, Elizabeth Schulz and her husband Jesse, Lancaster, Brandon Deitch and his wife Crystal, of Carlisle, Melissa Heckard and husband Steve, of Carlisle and Michelle Gutshall, of Carlisle; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Lee S. Deitch, her brother, George Thomas and a sister-in-law, Araelia; two step-sons, Charles N. Minich Sr. and Marshall M. Minich and her second husband of 18 years, Nelson Minich, whose family still survives Carrie.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday June 6, 2012 in the Waggoners United Methodist Church, 1271 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle with the Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle and from 9:00 am until the time of the service on Wednesday in the church.
