Carren L. Chestnut

Carren L. Chestnut, age 61, of Boiling Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 25, 1955 in Carlisle to Roger "Pete" Calaman and the late Dorothy (Morrow) Calaman.
Carren was the office manager for Mira Orthopedics for Dr. Alan Mira's entire career of 39 years. She loved to read and collected Longaberger baskets. Carren's family, friends and faith were the most important things to her. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she was a former Deacon and assisted in teaching Sunday school.
In addition to her father, Carren is survived by: her husband of 42 years, Richard Chestnut of Boiling Springs; a sister, Joan (and husband Buz) Wolfe of Carlisle; her granddaughter, Leah Williams of Mt. Holly Springs; son-in-law, Matthew (and his wife Laurel) Williams of Mt. Holly Springs; an uncle, Richard (and wife Shirley) Calaman of Carlisle; an aunt, Jeannine Moll of Cle Elum, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her mother, Carren was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Williams.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gibelius and Rev. Jennifer J. McKenna officiating. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. There will not be a visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jennifer Ann Chestnut Award, c/o S. Middleton School District, 4 Forge Road, Boiling Springs, PA 17007 or to Second Presbyterian Church.
