Carol Lynn Schrubb

Carol Lynn Schrubb- age 48 from Carlisle, PA unexpectedly passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was the daughter of Joyce Ertman of Monroeville, PA and the late Albert E. Ertman Jr. and the younger sister of David Ertman. Carol is also survived by her three loving children, Tanner Jack Schrubb, Morgan Elizabeth Schrubb, and Aiden Michael Schrubb. She was born in Monroeville PA and was a graduate of Gateway High School and the University of Pittsburgh and was the biggest Pitt football fan you could ever meet. Carol was employed by the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center as a Technology Development Specialist.
Carol enjoyed spending time, more than anything else, with her three children. She loved the outdoors and the wonderful beauty of nature, gardening, and all living things. Her infectious welcoming smile and boisterous personality immediately warmed every room she entered. With her amazingly large and compassionate heart she brought a bit of heaven to earth and made the world a better and happier place for everyone who saw her. While we can never fill the void left after the angels took her to heaven, the world is a better, brighter, and happier place because of her. Carol will be dearly missed for the love she filled everyone with.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 and from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Jobe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 445 Beatty Road Monroeville, PA 15146. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Jobe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street Philadelphia, PA 19123 or to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 to defray the cost of the funeral.
