Carol E. Keeney

Carol E. Keeney, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.

She was born June 7, 1943, in Pittsfield, MA to the late Henry Guy and Alma J. (Barrett) Bertini. Carol was the widow of John D. Keeney Jr. who passed in 2019 after they enjoyed 38 years of marriage.

She was an avid knitter and often knitted baby blankets for friends and relatives. She was also a cat lover and loved taking care of her cat Bella. Since 2020, she resided at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home where she developed very good friendships and enjoyed participating in the daily activities at the Home.

Carol is survived by two children, Timothy C. (wife Cathy) Powell of Carlisle and Pamela D. Powell of Florida; two sisters, Deborah Parkington and Lynne Tanner both of Massachusetts; five grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Iozzo and one sister, Jane Lennon.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
