Carol A. Ramp, age 68, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her residence in Silver Spring Township.
She was born February 13, 1949 in Gettysburg, PA to the late Charles and Katherine (Ridinger) Stevens.
A 1967 Big Spring High School graduate, Carol went on to work as a manager at both Farmers Trust and Orrstown Bank. In her spare time, she served on the board of directors of Safe Harbour in Carlisle, was an auditor for Middlesex Township for 26 years, and an active member of the Yellow Breeches chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She was a longtime member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Carlisle, and then of Waggoners United Methodist Church, where she served as musical director.
She is survived by: her son Joel D. Ramp; daughter Laura K. Ramp; fiancé Robert E. Diehl; and ex-husband of 42 years Joseph Ramp; as well as a loving granddaughter, Peyton Ann Ramp; nieces Ann Vavrock and Jan (and husband Richard Scott) Diehl; and brother- and sister-in law Nancy and Don Shibley.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, at Waggoners United Methodist Church - 1271 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle. The Reverend Dr. Richard E. Denison, Jr. will be officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 7:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be private and at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s honor may be made to Safe Harbour - 102 W. High St., Carlisle, or Project S.H.A.R.E. - 5 N. Orange St., Suite 4, Carlisle.
