Carl L. Huehn Jr.

Carl L. Huehn Jr., 92, of Carlisle, passed away on December 10, 2023, at the Thornwald Home.

He was born September 21, 1931, in Pittsburgh to the late Carl L. Sr. and Alice (Eakin) Huehn. Carl was the widower of Esther (Pitschke) Huehn to whom he had been married for 55 years.

Carl was raised in Pittsburgh where he worked as a letter carrier for 30 years with the United States Postal Service before his retirement. After retiring, Carl and his wife moved to NALCREST in Florida where they enjoyed many good years. Carl enjoyed fishing, playing cards, golfing, and anything that kept him active and in his friend's company.

He is survived by his two loving daughters, Alice (husband Brian) Chamberlain of Carlisle and Bonnie Michaels of Florida; four grandchildren, Austin Chamberlain (fiancée Kathleen) of Tennessee, Brandon Chamberlain (fiancée Brittany) of California, Alyssa (husband Jake) Kittle of West Chester, and Noelle Chamberlain of Arkansas; one cousin, Madge Seidel of Pittsburgh; and he was expecting his first great granddaughter Emmy Valentine any day.

Carl's family would like to extend their gratitude to the Thornwald Home's Personal Care staff. Everyone there took wonderful care of Carl, especially Michelle, Kelli, Cheryl, and Ruby.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carl to Thornwald Home 442 Walnut Bottom Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
