Carine Marie Kayer

Carine Marie Kayer, 75, of Boiling Springs, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Born August 9, 1938 in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late John B. & Ethel M. Strahl Ritter.
She was formerly employed at the Lakeview Savings, Ramsey, NJ. She was an avid donor for over fifty years to the St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD. Carine enjoyed cruises, traveling to Cape Cod, genealogy, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her loving family.
Surviving are her husband, Robert A. Kayer of Boiling Springs; two sons, James J. Kayer (and wife, Amy) of Harrisburg and Jeffrey A. Kayer (and wife, Kristin) of Enola; one daughter, Kristine M. Amtower (and husband, Richard) of Boiling Springs; and three grandchildren, Kathryn and Thomas Amtower, and Alicia Kayer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. A private burial will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Churchtown. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
