Brian Harris

Brian Harris, 66, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home.
He was born to parents Ernest Harris, Jr. and Elsie Anne Shoup on March 30, 1956, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Brian graduated from Susquehana High School in 1974 and became a train engineer for Norfolk Southern Corporation (originally Conrail) in 1976. He worked for the company over 40 years.
Brian was married to Susan Scharadin-Jordan in 1978 and Sandra Keller-Harris in 1987. Brian is survived by his children, Brian J. Harris, Joan M. Halloran, Tina M. McClendon, Sally J. Strock, and Raymond A. Keller. He has nine grandchildren [Preston, John, Corrine, Finnegan, Madeline, Jesse, Devon, Isabella, and McKenzie] and 3 great-grandchildren (Easton, Mia, and Lincoln).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andrew
Brian loved kids. Interacting, talking, teaching them was a passion of his. He drove school bus for Rohrer, BNS, Miller Transportation, and Kaufman Bus Service, when he was not driving trains. This gave him the opportunity to transport young minds to and from school, field trips, and other various adventures.
In is free time, he watched little league baseball and would take his yearly excursion to watch the World Series. He enjoyed all types of music as he was an aficionado of telling you the name and artist of any classic rock song playing on the radio. Brian enjoyed live comedy and bowling.
In leu of a memorial service, Brian decided to donate his body to science for the purpose of teaching.
