Bonnie K. Bitner

Bonnie K. Bitner, 63, of Newville, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1956 in Carlisle to Paul L. Myers Sr. of Carlisle and the late Sandra (States) Myers.
Bonnie graduated from Carlisle High School in the class of 1974. After her graduation she went to work at the New Cumberland Army Depot and stayed there until she retired. Bonnie was an active member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg. She loved all animals but none more than her poodles. Bonnie also enjoyed cooking and was an excellent care giver for friends and family.
In addition to her father, she is survived by one brother, Paul “Butch” Myers Jr. of Carlisle; one sister, Tonya L. Myers of Newville; her long time companion’s children, Jean Lawler of Massachusetts, Derek Clugh of Michigan, and James Clugh of Idaho; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her mother, Bonnie was preceded in death by her longtime companion, James Clugh.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Clarence Stouffer officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bonnie, to Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road Shippensburg, PA 17257.
