Bonnie Arlene Bishop age 75, went to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center due to a lengthy heart problems and dementia.
Born December 27, 1938 in Andersonburg, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Hoffman Yocum and the widow of Cleyol L. Bishop.
Bonnie always enjoyed meeting new people, and riding her bike.
Bonnie is survived by one son, Michael Bishop of Carlisle; one daughter, Michelle Bishop (and significant other, Christopher Genovese) of Carlisle; one grandson, Joshua Bishop; two sisters, Shirley Smith (and significant other, Dale Stitzel) of Carlisle; Darlene Laughman (and husband, Harold) of Carlisle and two brothers, Richard Yocum (and wife, Bonnie) of Dillsburg and Robert Yocum (and wife, Eleanor) of Blain. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Rodney Yocum.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Donald Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
