Betty R. Stump

Betty R. Stump, age 92, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Thornwald Home.
She was born September 17, 1924 in Newville to the late Frank A. and Mabel B. (Barrick) Deihl and was the widow of Norman A. Stump who passed August 11, 1991.
Betty was a member of Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church and the Union Fire Company #1 Ladies Auxillary, both of Carlisle.
She is survived by: a son, Donald L. Stump and his companion Anna Mae Surovec of Karthaus; her companion, George H. Jumper of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Deihl.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Scott A. Hocker officiating. Burial will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
