Betty Mae Negley

Betty Mae Negley, 76, of Carlisle, died July 28, 2016 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 29, 1939 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Evelyn A. Nailor Negley.

Betty was a 1957 graduate of Big Spring High School. She was employed by Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse for nearly 20 years, retired from Kmart after 30 years as an office clerk and was later employed by Dickinson College for 10 years. Betty loved traveling to the beach.

Surviving are three children, Natelia Cook and her husband Todd, Dillsburg, John Smith, Harrisburg and Juanita Baker, Newville, five siblings, Leroy Negley and his wife Fay, Newville, Joan Logan and her husband Gary, Newville, Janet Lentz and her husband Wilbert, Newville, Nancy Hartzell, Carlisle and Dorothy Myers and her husband Marlin, Newville, four grandchildren, Amanda Shoemaker and her husband Jeremiah, Newville, Alyssa Davidson and her husband Cory, Carlisle, Ryan Miller and his wife Lauren, Shippensburg and Jaimie Duppstadt and her husband Joe, Newville, four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chase Gross and Easton and Lane Duppstadt. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Wiser and brothers-in-law, Max and Paul.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the McClures Gap Church of God, 130 Church of God Rd., Newville, PA 17241. There will be a visitation from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.

Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle is handling the arrangments.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
