Betty J. Warner, age 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2016 at Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, Carlisle.
She was born March 28, 1936 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Leo R. and Ruth M. Kerns Brant and was the widow of the late Robert A. Warner, Sr. who passed on February 7, 1995.
Betty had previously worked at the Reeves-Hoffman Crystal Plant and retired as a Line Foreman from PPG Industries, Carlisle. She was the owner/operator of B. Warner's Catering in Carlisle. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle and a member of the Carlisle Family Moose Ladies Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed spending time at the beach, her swimming pool at her home and spending time with her loving family. She was always there helping others during their time of need.
She is survived by two daughters, Constance L. Motter of Dillsburg and Victoria R. Davis of Carlisle; two sons, Robert A. (and wife Cynthia) Warner, Jr. of Carlisle and Joseph K. (and wife Cathy) Warner of York Springs; a foster son, James R. (and wife Christy) Moyer of Millersburg; a brother, Leo R. Brant, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her lifelong friend and caregiver, Eileen Heberlig, for the companionship she gave to Betty over the last 50 years. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Clara "Pat" Carter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey as Celebrant. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
