Betty H. Whitcomb

Betty H. Whitcomb, 83, of Carlisle, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born October 12, 1930 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Katherine Martin Zimmerman.
She was a former employee of Town & Country Department Stores Warehouse where she worked as a clerk and she retired from ECD Trucking, Shiremanstown. She loved auto racing. Betty enjoyed being with her kids and family.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-seven years, Robert W. Whitcomb of Carlisle; one son, Robert L. Whitcomb of Carlisle; one daughter, Kathy Heckard (and husband, Dennis) of Newport; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Richard Zimmerman of Enola; and four sisters, Geraldine Thornton of Shippensville, Delores Stoner of Mechanicsburg, Nancy Jumper of Mechanicsburg, and Linda McClintock of Enola. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Stetler and Shirley Fry and daughter-in-law, Victoria Whitcomb.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, York County.
