Betty F. Morris, 75, of Carlisle, formerly of Titusville, Fla., died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at ManorCare of Carlisle.

Born Feb. 7, 1937, in Birch River, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Paul H. and Beatrice Tinney Frame.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Marshall University, W.Va. She was selected to Who’s Who among American College and University students. She was a journalist for Fairchild Publications and was the London bureau chief for Women’s Wear Daily. She also worked as a journalist for Gannett Publications in Florida and she won numerous awards and nominations throughout her career.

Surviving are two sisters, Paula Frame Coffman (and her husband, Gary) of Frederick, Md., and Carol Frame Cutlip (and her husband, Don) of Carlisle. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Kimberly Harraka of Ijamsville, Md., Natalie Steffy of Carlisle and Paul Cutlip of Frederick, Md.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
