Betty Elizabeth Nickel

Betty Elizabeth Nickel, age 87, entered into her Heavenly home on December 31, 2016 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.
She was born December 27, 1929 in Fayetteville to the late Charles and Rhoda Golden. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Harvey Henry.
Betty was a homemaker and loving Christian wife and mother to her husband, Charles and daughter, Sandra. Betty was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, Carlisle, PA.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles L. Nickel; daughter, Sandra (and husband George) Orner; grandson, Jeffrey (and wife Michele) Orner; great-grandsons, Brandon and Shawn Orner; and two brothers, Glenn Golden and Dick Henry. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by five brothers, Merle Golden, Tom Golden, John Golden, Donald Golden and Robert Henry and two sisters, Alma Gilbert and JoAnn Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 777 W. North Street, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Craig Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be no visitation or viewing.
Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA is handling the arrangements.
