Bette S. Alspaugh

Bette S. Alspaugh, 88, of Carlisle went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 24, 2013 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Born October 26, 1924 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late George and Elda Monosmith Shank and the widow of Lawrence Alspaugh.
She was a graduate of Carlisle High School. Bette was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Carlisle and the Carlisle Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are five children, Star Mowery (and husband, Jay) of Franklin, TN, Marjorie Grove (and husband, Ralph) of New Bloomfield, Joan Crowl (and husband, Jack) of Carlisle, David Alspaugh (and wife, Rhonda) of Carlisle, and Stephen Alspaugh (and wife, Eleanor) of Carlisle; one brother, George Shank of Carlisle; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, David, and Ruben Shank and two sisters, Esther and Anna .
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 777 West North Street, Carlisle with Rev. David Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
