Barry Lee Martin

June 19, 1951 — August 4, 2016

Barry L. Martin, age 65, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
He was born June 19, 1951 in Carlisle to Martha Louise (Kelley) Martin of Carlisle and the late John R. Martin.
Barry was a graduate of Carlisle High School and was an Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired from the New Cumberland Naval Depot after 30 years of service working in Logistics. Barry enjoyed hunting and attending the Mt. Holly Springs shooting matches with his father.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shelby (Conrad) Martin of Carlisle; three children, Celisa Moody of Puerto Rico, Vernon Moody of Harrisburg and Brenda (and husband Frank) Davis of New Bloomfield; a brother, Joseph Alex Martin; fifteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his father, Barry was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Sue Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be at Longsdorf Cemetery, New Kingstown. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
