Barry L. Wilson

Barry L. Wilson, 60, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Penn State Hershey Hospital while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 10, 1960 in Carlisle to the late Mac and Doris Jean (Brenneman) Wilson.
Barry was a 1978 graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He was employed for over 25 years by the former Carlisle Syntec. Barry was a member of Carlisle Lodge #260 F & AM and was a member and a past president of the Sons of Union Veterans. He was a longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Opossum Hill Union Church. Barry was an avid fan and supporter of Carlisle area sports. He was a former coach of North Middleton Youth Baseball and Carlisle Area Midget Football.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Caryn D. Wilson of Carlisle; three sons, Joseph C. (partner Nicole) Wilson and their daughter Charlee, Jacob T. (wife Elizabeth) Wilson and their daughter Emily, and Jarrett L. Wilson all of Carlisle; two sisters, Connie (husband Terry) Weiss of Carlisle and Debbie (husband Ron “Andy”) Anderson of Boiling Springs; his mother-in-law, JoAnn E. Heishman of Carlisle; two sisters-in-law, Cindy (husband Chuck) Bear and Cathy Raraigh both of Carlisle; eight nieces and nephews, Ashlynn Weiss, Taylor Weiss, Chelsea Miller, Corey Bear, Craig Bear, Carly Snider, Caitlyn Ruhl, and Duff Raraigh; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald Heishman and his brother-in-law, Kim Raraigh.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the funeral home. As mandated by Governor Wolfe maximum capacity during gatherings is restricted and you may be asked to wait at the door when you arrive until the numbers allow for your entrance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jarrett Wilson College Fund c/o Members 1st FCU to assist with his sons future education.
