Barry J. Howe

Barry J. Howe, 57, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Cullen, MD on August 19, 1958 to the late Henry T. Howe and Lorea L. Gastrock Howe of Carlisle.
Barry was a former employee of the Target store in Carlisle and formerly had worked at the Carlisle Weis Market from 1977 to 1995 and then at the Carlisle Nell's Shurfine store from 1995 to 2012. He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1976. Barry enjoyed hockey, lacrosse, tennis and was an avid bicyclist. Most of all though his loving family and friends meant the most to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Melinda S. Jones Howe of Carlisle; his mother, Lorea L. Gastrock Howe of Carlisle; two sisters, Robyn H. (and husband Ali) Arab of Nashville, TN and Vickie L. Bear of Camp Hill; his niece, Alex Arab; three nephews; and his loving Australian Shepherd, Mickey.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Scott Hocker as Celebrant. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
